| If there is a Thread here, it is probably a good idea to check it out. This includes if you are new or not. It's some sort of Notice or Announcement from the Admin. Here is where you put your Candidate application also. Also, the Plot board is in here, so keep an eye open. And if you're going somewhere, let us know here in Absences. Activity Checks are also held here.

| Scorching hot, the sands are a mixture of white and black sand. Rumors say that the white sand was brought from very far away to help conduct heat, while the black sand is volcanic and helps hold the heat. The heat itself drifts its way through even the thickest hide boots. The dragons however, love the heat. Especially the Queen's and the Eggs they lay. this is where Hatchings and Impressions happen.

| Everything that keeps the Weyr running is here. Be it from creche's to storerooms, to the infirmary, and the wine cellers. Food stuffs is stored, children play, and folk relax here when it gets too hot. It may be the underbelly of the Weyr but it is one of the most important places of it.

| Contrary to other more traditional Weyrs, Valley Weyr is just that. A valley. The Weyrbowl is basically the area at the base of the bit of mountains that the dragons are in. So it's pretty broad and not really a 'bowl' at all.

| There is always a warmed pot of klah sitting over the fire, and the cooks always have plenty of snacks lying around, ready for eating. There is a small room off to the side for more private eatings, but otherwise, food is served three times daily in the Dining Hall. The Kitchens are always open to hungry bellys though.

| The quarters of the weyrleaders is basically a massive weyr shared by the ruling couple of the weyr, as well as the ledge and half-cave for the dragons. There is also a sort of meeting room and sitting area through a door for meetings with important persons.

| The Infirmary is a very necessary area in the Weyr. Both humans and Dragons come here to be worked upon. Lines of sick beds for humans, and warmed sands for the Dragons. There are warmed stone couches for any open wounded dragons, to help prevent sand getting into wounds. The Infirmary is on the bottom most level of the Weyr, ground floor. There are also smaller side rooms for the more ill or wounded patients.

| Several fields that are seperated by stone walls with gates make up the Feeding Grounds. Some fields contain wherry, other contain herdbeasts. It all depends on what your dragon wants at the time.

| A large maze like network of interconnecting caves and tunnels run through the mountainous area of the Weyr. Part of this area is designated to the living quarters of non-dragonriders. Room size depends on rank or the size of the family it sustains. Furnishings are typically left to the custom hand of the inhabitants.

| A massive room in the lower caverns that is lit by many glows lining all the walls, and on stands interspersed throughout the shelves. Lines and rows of shelves filled with scrolls and books. Feel free to grab one and read something.

| These natural hot springs are in a series of caverns in the lower levels, and are used as a sort of Bath House for all the people in the Weyr. They are mostly shared between anyone and everyone, though there are slightly more private pools, both for soaking and for bathing in a few smaller off-shooting areas of the main caverns.

| These are the crafter areas of the Weyr. They are not necessarily just in one spot, and some people prefer to do their respective crafts in their own private quarters. But this is where you will find the big looms, and forges, and music rooms, and anything else you cna think of that has to do with a craft of some sort.

| Each of the normal sized tables seat ten people or so. Food is served by drudges and servers to the tables on large platters that line the center of each table. There is a much larger, longer table that is on one end of the Hall, that seats the Weyrleader, Weyrwoman, and any honored guests.

| There is the Bathing Cavern in the weyr and such, but these are alot more wild. Naturally formed pools, some large enough for a dragon or two to soak in VERY mineral rich water. Be careful of the ones that are still volvanic, and bubbling with acids!

| The River, as it is simply called, winds its way for miles past the Weyr itself, spanning over nearly the entire continent. It's waters are mostly a murky-green color, rich with soft minerals, mud, and algae. There are suprisingly large fish in some parts of it, and many water plants absolutely love it.

| The riders have their work cut out for them protecting this vast, expanding forest. Rivers and small lakes streak through the thick foliage here. Ancient trees can be found here along with medicinal herbs, wild game, and various other important resources. Dragonriders also moniter the local loggers too, carefully making sure that too many trees aren't cut down.

| If a queen is Flying, it'll be here. If a female of any color is Flying, it will be here. These are the wide-open skies! Eggs are made here, Thread falls here, and all sorts of fun random sky encounters.

| The large monolithic mountains that make up most of the Weyr extend on either side. Most of the peaks are conveniantly low, others towering high. Young riders should beware the higher peaks. Air is thin there and can addle the brains of fool hearted adventurers. There are also hundreds of small and large caves to accidentally fall into. Most of them are very hidden, and not obvious at all, and some are more obvious.
